Courtney Long

Courtney Long has been taking dance lessons since she was two years old. Courtney took dance, twirl and cheer at Ms. Rhonda’s School of Dance and Twirl in her early years. In second grade she started cheering on an all star team coached by Tina Tobias. The Texas Star Cheer Team was housed at Ms. Rhonda’s School of Dance and Twirl. Courtney continued dancing and cheering throughout her school years. In middle school she became a Jr. Bluebonnet and a member of the White Oak Wolves cheerleader team. She then was selected as a New Caney high school varsity cheerleader. While also being a cheerleader for the school, Ms. Courtney was on a competitive all star team, and took dance and tumbling classes at a studio. Ms. Courtney was awarded many awards on her teams, some of those include NCA All-American cheerleader, best base, best dancer, and best all around cheerleader. While on the competitive cheer team, the SWAT Team, coached by Tina Tobias, Ms. Courtney contributed to many award winning routines at different cheer competitions such as, United Cheer, Cheer Power, UCA and, NCA competitions. After high school, Ms. Courtney attended Lone Star College. There she studied dance and education.  One of the dance professors that mentored Ms. Courtney was Molly Andriola.
  Now Ms. Courtney Long has been working for Texas Academy of Dance for four years. She is the Director of the Texas Star Cheer team and the instructor of the TX Mini Steppers dance team. Ms. Courtney plans to continue working hard to make her teams the best they can be. Courtney has a little boy, Bryson who she loves very much and is soon to celebrate a marriage to Joseph Culpepper.
